THE AUTHOR
Davide Manuli was born in Milan. He studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. As a director, he was awarded with the International Critics’ prize at the Locarno Film Festival for his film Beket (2008). The Legend of Kaspar Hauser (2021), premiered at Rotterdam Film Festival, is a modern western-like re-interpretation featuring Vincent Gallo, a music-obsessive Kaspar washes up on a Mediterranean beach, where half a dozen protagonists try to make sense of who he is.
